CODIE_2016_finalist_blackIrvine, CA (April 7, 2016) — Illuminate Education, a leader in K-12 education technology, today announced that its Education Intelligence Platform, comprised of Data and Assessment, Student Information and Special Education, was named a finalist for the 2016 SIIA CODiE Awards in the BEST K-20 Data Solution category. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier awards for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years. The awards offer 91 categories that are organized by industry focus of education technology and business technology.

Illuminate’s Education Intelligence Platform was named as one of the 160 finalists across 29 education technology categories.

Winners will be announced during a virtual award ceremony on May 18. The top honor of best overall educational product will be presented at Education Industry Symposium, the nation’s leading education technology conference, in Denver on July 26. The announcement will take place during a special celebration party and dinner.

Illuminate Education’s passion is to create tools that will promote educator and student success. The company has three core products that make up its Education Intelligence Platform: The Data and Assessment system truly enables data informed instruction. The Student Information System keeps schools organized with attendance, scheduling and state reporting. Lastly, Illuminate Special Education provides a centralized system to create and manage IEPs.

Said Brian Seymour, Director of Instructional Technology at Pickerington Schools in Ohio, “This is an incredible tool that I would highly recommend individuals and school districts look into. It has saved us an incredible amount of time. We have the data, we have it analyzed almost instantly for us, and then now on our teacher based teams and our PLCs, we’re now able to take those and have those rich conversations that are about, ‘Well what’s next? What can we do as teachers, as instructional leaders, to help make those changes?’…And I tell you, it’s made a world of difference.”

“Every year the list of CODiE finalists is a case study of how the ed tech industry is using new technologies in combination with knowledge about how people learn to respond to customer needs. They’re opening doors for learners of all ages,” said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of ETIN.
